Police in York County have confiscated several marijuana plants that had been growing in giant hanging baskets strung from trees.
Northern York Regional police said the plants were discovered Tuesday afternoon in the area of Lake Pahagaco in Jackson Township. Lake Pahagaco is owned and operated by P. H. Glatfelter Company.
Investigators said makeshift hanging baskets had been constructed, each filled with potting soil and containing 3-4 feet tall marihuana plants.
The baskets were then hung from the trunks of trees by chain and were between 10 and 15 feet off of the ground, police said.
